40% of the fruit underwent a cut-cane process to concentrate the grapes on the vine. The fruit was hand-picked fruit and fermented to 9.5% alc. with 52.3 g/L rs, a pH 2.9 and TA 7.2 g/L. 13% of the wine underwent indigenous yeast fermentation in barrel. Very pale straw, soft and even coloured with a slight green hue. The bouquet is concentrated with aromas of limes, white florals, stonefuits and minerals. Nuances of herbs and honeysuckle emerge adding interest. Medium-sweet to taste, gentle and restrained flavours of savoury honeysuckle with mineral notes build to an ethereal richness. The palate has weight and presence, with very smooth, rich textures. This is well-balanced with bright acidity and the wine has freshness and real harmony. A moderately long, subtly rich, sweet and sour finish completes the wine. This gently honied, and subtly rich Riesling will continue to develop greater interest over the next 5-6+ years.
