Clark Estate Marlborough Pinot Grigio 2016

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 17-Jul-2016
Bright, pale straw colour with a light blush, near colourless on the rim. This has a tightly bound, refreshing and aromatic nose with fragrant white florals and white stonefruits intermingling with youthfully lifted fermentation esters, unfolding nuances of fresh herbs and hints of minerals. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate is elegant and slender in proportion with a fine core of aromatic white stonefruits and florals, along with fermentation esters. This has a fine, dry, phenolic backbone that lends a thirst-quenching mouthfeel, and the wine carries to a fragrant finish of florals and esters. This is an elegant, soft and finely concentrated Pinot Grigio with aromatic florals and esters, and a mouthwatering, dry palate. Serve with tapas and antipasto over the next 3 years. Early-picked fruit from the Upper Awatere ‘Home’ block, fermented in stainless-steel to 11.5% alc. and 3 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Jul 2016 RRP $20.00
