Cirro Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 15-Feb-2012
Bright, very pale straw colour with some green hues and a pale rim, the nose is very fine, tightly bound and elegant, with lifted esters and aromatic gooseberry fruit along with passionfruit nuances. Dry to taste and light weighted, the palate shows restrained but fresh flavours of English gooseberries, passionfruit with a floral lift. There is a soft richness, and the acidity is balanced and refreshing. Smooth, slippery textures lead to a subtle, passionfruity finish. Marlborough fruit from an established site in the lower Wairau Valley, fermented to 13.4% alc and 1.8 g/L rs. Serve with seafood and subtle Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. 16.5+/20 Oct 2011 RRP $18.99 (N.Z. Only)
