Cirro Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 15-Feb-2012
Single-vineyard lower Wairau Valley fruit from mature vines, fermented to 12.7% alc. and 1.5 g/L rs. Very pale straw colour with a clear edge, this has a firm, intense and concentrated bouquet of green beans, garden herbs and nettles, the aromatics beginning to show signs of secondary development. Dry and medium-bodied, full flavours of gooseberries, nettles and herbs are packed into a concentrated and rich palate. The acidity is lively, but allows the soft textures to show and add to the mouthfeel. This is a fulsome wine with bottle-age interest, along with the presence and weight to match flavoursome vegetable, seafood and poultry dishes over the next 2 years. 18.0/20 Oct 2011 RRP $18.99 (N.Z. Only)
