Charles Pelletier ‘Cuvee Royal’ ‘Grande Reserve’ Methode Traditionnnelle Blanc de Blancs Brut NV

Sparkling Wine from Australia - Other
Review Date : 10-Nov-2014
Bright pale straw-yellow colour with slight golden hues, the bead persistent and moderately fine. This has a light, fresh bouquet with delicate aromas of white and yellow stonefruits alongside citrus and floral elements, unfolding subtle nuances of yeast, nuts and minerals. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, a rounded core of yellow stonefruits interwoven with nuances of yeast and smoke is the feature on palate. The mousse is soft and the mouthfeel is guided by gentle phenolic textures and discreet acidity that lends balance and dryness. The wine carries through to a slightly textured, dry finish with yeast and nutty notes. This is a soft, gentle Methode Traditionnelle with delicate fruit and nutty, yeasty notes. Serve as an any-occasion sparkling over the next 18 months to 2 years. Based on Chardonnay, fermented by the traditional method to 11.5% alc. and 10 g/L RS. 16.5/20 Nov 2014 RRP $20.00
