Charles and Charles Columbia Valley Rosé 2014

Rose from USA
Review Date : 11-Jul-2015
Bright, purple-hued candy-floss pink with some depth. The nose is tight and fresh with lifted red florals and strawberry fruit, along with mouthwatering steely mineral nuances, revealing cherry confectionary detail in the glass. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate is elegantly presented with light and tightly held flavours of strawberries, red florals and cherry fruit, along with mineral and confectionary interest. The mouthfeel is refreshing and flows smoothly along a soft palate line. The acidity is clean, bright and thirst-quenching and leads to a dry, aromatic finish of florals and strawberry fruit pastilles. This is a refreshing, light rosé with strawberry and cherry flavours and a crisp, dry finish. Serve with antipasto, and with tapas or dim sum over the next 2 years. A blend of 72% Syrah, 8% Mourvedre, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Grenache, 3% Cinsault and 3% Counoise from contract growers, fermented to 12.2% alc., the wine aged on lees. 43,000 cases made. 17.0/20 Jul 2015 RRP $28.00
