Chapoutier ‘Belleruche’ Cotes du Rhone Rosé 2016

Rose from France - Rhone
Review Date : 23-Aug-2017
Bright, light strawberry pink with slight peach hues and some depth, pale edged with purple tints. The nose is firm in presence with delicate aromas of stonefruits along with notes of quince and an amalgam of fresh herbs, red florals and thirst-quenching minerals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate possesses delicate fruit flavours of red berry fruits, quince and red florals, along with subtle mouthwatering mineral elements. The wine flows with good freshness and acid energy along a fine phenolic-threaded line. The wine carries to a moderately lingering, crisp, dry, nuanced finish of red florals and minerals. This is a crisp, dry Cotes du Rhone rosé with delicate fruit flavours and thirst-quenching minerality, light textures and a dry finish. Serve as n aperitif, with canapes, antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. A blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah, cool-fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 3-6 months in stainless-steel vats. 17.5/20 Aug 2017 RRP $25.99
