Chapoutier ‘Belleruche’ Cotes du Rhone 2008

Grenache from France - Rhone
Review Date : 17-May-2011
A blend of Grenache and Syrah. Bright, deepish ruby-red, this has a soft, attractively fruity and up-front nose of bright red berry fruits and a gentle earthiness. Positively primary in fruit expression, and very modern in outlook, the ripe raspberry fruit flavours have nuances of herbs, pepper and earth. The tannins supple and moderate in grip, and some alcoholic warmth is noticeable. Delicious drinking in the medium-short term, say 4-5 years.  May 2011
