Champagne Beaumet ‘Brut Vintage’ 2006

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 08-Aug-2013
Pale straw-yellow colour with slight lemon-green hues, and a strong, persistent bead. This has an elegant and tightly bound bouquet with aromas of yellow stonefruits harmoniously melded with gentle autolysis notes of nuts and yeasty bread. This has subtle detail and good depth. Dry to taste, softly integrated flavours of yellow stonefruits, fresh yeast and bread grow to show an attractive sweetness. The mouthfeel is softly textured, but lively with fine effervescence and balanced acidity. The dosage becomes a feature, and along with the acidity, carries the flavours to a soft, moderately lingering, clean, stonefruit nuanced finish. This is a soft-textured, fine and gently refreshing Champagne with attractive balance and subtlety. Serve as an aperitif and with delicate white meat dishes over the next 3-4 years.. A blend of around 10 crus, based on Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Chardonnay from the Cote de Blancs. 12.0% alc. 18.0/20 Aug 2013 RRP $55.99
