Ch. Suduiraut Sauternes 2005

Sweet Wine from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 01-Oct-2012
200 ha, 92 ha under vine. 90% Semillon, 10% Sauvignon Blanc, 25 y.o. on average. 18-24 months in 50% new oak. Full, deep, golden yellow colour, this has a very powerful, cutting and penetrating nose of ripe citrus fruits and apricots, honey, and layers of savoury tropical fruits intermixed with waxy Semillon. The depth and concentration is excellent. Oak is noticeable. On palate, this is very sweet and succulent with lush honied botrytis, citrus and marmalade, nutty oak all interwoven and quite complete. The palate line features fine acid cut and balance with a refined textural, phenolic thread. This has poise and excellent tension. This is a archetype Suduiraut which will keep 8-10+ years. (375 ml) 19.0+/20 Sep 2012 RRP $104.00
