Ch. Potensac Medoc 2003

Cabernet Sauvignon from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 31-Dec-2014
Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel, 60% CS, 25% Me, 15% CF, vines 30 y.o. on average, 13.5% alc., the wine aged 14-16 months in 1 y.o. oak (ex Leoville Las Cases). Approx. 25,000 cases made. Moderately deep, black-red colour. This is very elegant on nose with fragrant plum, dried herb, tobacco, cigar-box and cedary oak aromas, all harmoniously entwined, showing very attractive secondary development and oaking. Elegantly proportioned on palate with ripe black berry fruits, black plums, along with complexing detail of earth and cedary oak. This has concentration with a sweet plushness of fruit expression. The oaking is sweet also, complementing the fruit richness. Fine-grained tannins sit in discreet support. This is a very elegant, ripe, modern style that is drinking well, but will hold 8-10 years. 19.0-/20 Nov 2014
