Ch. Pontet-Canet Pauillac 2007

Cabernet Sauvignon from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 08-Jun-2011
5eme, 79 ha, 62% CS, 6% CF, 32% Me. Full, saturated black-red in colour, this has a very full, densely packed bouquet of black berry and plum fruits alongside powerful, spicy oak notes. On palate very full and solid with masses of blackcurrant, plum and boysenberry flavours backed by oak in good balance, this is plump and rounded in mouthfeel , with moderate tannin extraction and soft acidity. The wine has real presence and an alluring sweetness, and will be good drinking over the next 6-8+ years.  Jun 2011
