Ch. Pichon Longueville Baron Pauillac 2010

Cabernet Sauvignon from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 16-Sep-2013
2eme, 70 ha, 60% CS, 35% Me, 4% CF, 1% PV. Very full, even, black-purple colour, quite impenetrable and saturated. This is modern Bordeaux, showing beautifully refined and elegant aromatics, still very tight and with much to become unveiled. Intense but restrained, very riper black fruits, blackberries, currants and plums, with a very fine perfumed violet floral lift infused with harmonious oak. Extremely elegant on palate with finesse and linear drive, tightly packed ripe, black fruit flavours and perfumed oak are carried by silky-smooth, very fine-grained tannins and ripe acidity. This is sleek and beautifully proportioned and flows seamlessly. A very refined, full-ripened, classy and thoroughly modern Pichon-Baron that will evolve over the next 15-20 years. 19.0/20 Sep 2013 RRP $583.00
