Ch. Palmer Margaux 2007

Blended Red from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 12-Nov-2015
3eme, 49% Me, 44% CS, 7% PV. Moderately deep, dark ruby-red with black and purple hues, lighter on rim, still youthful. This has a soft, even and harmoniously entwined bouquet with cooler herbal and herbaceous fruit aromas, in a mellow amalgam of cedar and oak toast. Cooler leafy notes emerge with the oak. Medium-full bodied, this is soft and mouthfilling with gentle layers of herbs, cedar and forest-floor, dried herbs and undergrowth. The tannins are softly extracted, and the wine mouthfilling and broad with textures. The fruit flavours recede in sweetness, enabling the acidity to feature, Savoury herb and sour acidity meld with cedar and toasty oak, and carry to a even flowing soft, slightly mellowed and flatter finish. Drinking well now, and over the next 5 years. 17.5-/20 Nov 2015 RRP $370.00
