Ch. Palmer Margaux 2006

Blended Red from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 12-Nov-2015
3eme, 56% CS, 44% Me. Dark, deep ruby-red with slight garnet hues, deep hearted. The bouquet is marked by ripe, densely packed fruit aromas of savoury dark red berries and plums. This has concentration and solidness, and is quite complete in presentation. Soft, savoury secondary dried herb and red-brown berry fruits unfold. The aromatics are positive, but soft and mellow. Medium-full bodied, the palate features a firm core of soft, savoury red berry and plum fruit. Dried herbs, earth and secondary undergrowth notes are melded with a suggestion of game, The tannins are ripe and soft, and provide good body and weight with rounded mouthfeel and deep structure. The acidity is soft, and there is a degree of flavour integration, as the detail and aromatic notes subside. The wine carries to a lush and juicy finish. The size and weight will see this develop another 7-10 years. 17.5+/20 Nov 2015 RRP $499
