Ch. Palmer Margaux 2005

Blended Red from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 12-Nov-2015
3eme, 3% CS, 40% Me, 7% PV. Very dark, deep, black-hued red colour, a little lighter on edge. The bouquet is very firm, and deeply concentrated with ripe black berried fruits with black plum nuances melded with complexing secondary iron-earth and savoury mineral notes, along with cedar and pencil shavings oak. This is densely packed, brooding and backwards. Full-bodied, this is fulsome and solid with immense concentration and depth of lusciously rich and succulent savoury black berry and black plum fruit flavours. Layers of earth and iron unfold, along with secondary detail. The tannin extraction is considerable and the tannin structure mouthfilling and weighty. The fruit sweetness prevails and carries the wine to a very long, complex nuanced finish. This will develop over the next 20 years easily. 19.5-/20. Nov 2015 RRP $N/A
