Ch. Les Rosiers Bordeaux 2016

Blended Red from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 17-May-2018
Full, dark, deep, black-hued ruby-red colour with slight purple hues, youthful in appearance. The nose is full and up-front with vibrant aromas of dark red berry and dark plum fruit, along with lifted florals and vibrant primary fruit aromas with a little confectionary, unfolding notes of dark herbs, with earth and minerals. Medium full bodied, the palate has richly sweet and plush flavours of ripe dark-red berry fruit and dark plums, along with boysenberry and jam notes. The palate is rounded and softened from gentle acidity, and the fruit underlined by light, supple tannins providing light grip and texture. As the wine flows, dark-red florals, dark herb and earthy detail add some interest, and carry to a soft finish. This is a plush and juicy Merlot-based Bordeaux red with vibrant, primary sweet-red dark berry and plum flavours with a little jam on a light textured palate. Serve with barbecued fare over the next 3 years. From 76 ha, planted to 60% Merlot and 20% each Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, vines 20 y.o. on average. 40,000 cases made. 17.5-/20 May 2018 RRP $21.00
