Ch. Lafon-Rochet St Estephe 2008

Cabernet Sauvignon from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 29-Sep-2011
4eme, 45 ha, 55% CS, 41% Me, 4% CF Bright purple-hued ruby-red, dark and youthful in appearance, this has an elegant and intensely penetrating nose of bright, fresh dark red berry fruit ad distinctive, high char, toasty new oak, all with a degree of fineness. A medium-weighted wine, quite elegant and fine-grained in mouthfeel, this has bright, vibrant dark red berry fruits lifted by fresh racy acidity. The oaking is positive and more harmonious on palate than bouquet. The wine has good concentration in a modern style that will see it develop well over the next 8-10+ years. 18.5-/20 Sep 2011 RRP $120.00
