Ch. Lafaurie-Peyraguey Sauternes 2007

Sweet Wine from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 01-Oct-2012
47.5 ha, 36 ha in vine. 90% Semillon, 8% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscadelle, 40 y.o. on average. 18-20 months in 30% new oak. Bright, light golden-yellow colour with lemon hues. The bouquet is very refined and elegant, lifted with some volatility. Excellent, ripe waxy Semillon and marmalade-like botrytis are finely interwoven and balanced, building with intensity, depth and concentration. Very sweet on palate, this is beautifully proportioned for elegance, with flavours of citrus fruits, honey, marmalade oak fine, nutty oak. The richness is balanced by fine, lacy acidity and refined extract forming the textural line. The elegance is classical and ageworthy in style. This will keep 10-15 years. 5,500 cases produced. (375 ml) 19.0/20 Sep 2012 RRP $80.00
