Ch. La Lagune Haut Medoc 2010

Cabernet Sauvignon from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 16-Sep-2013
3eme, 75 ha, 60% CS, 30% Me, 10% PV. Impenetrable black-purple colour with great density. This has a very refined tightly bound nose with purity of primary blackcurrant Cabernet Sauvignon fruit aromas. Violet and black floral perfumes emerge with ethereal oaking. The bouquet is sheer rawness of fruit, but with finesse and class. Medium-full bodied, this is tightly bound and very elegant in proportion, with flavours of pure blackcurrant essence. The wine is as freshly pressed must, but unfolding refined and beautiful perfumes. The palate is very concentrated with a rich, sweet core, framed within very fine-grained tannins and underlined by racy, lacy acidity. New oak becomes revealed and melds with the fruit and the acidity carries the palate to an extremely long and fine finish. This is a very elegant, fine-grained, beautifully textured and youthful La Lagune. It will develop well over the next 15-20 years. 19.0+/20 Sep 2013 RRP $166.00
