Ch. Jacquet Bordeaux 2014

Merlot from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 11-Jan-2016
Moderately deep ruby-red colour, a little lighter on edge, youthful in appearance. The nose is elegantly presented with a core of savoury red berry fruit aromas, harmoniously entwined with subtle redcurrant, herb and earthy notes. Medium-bodied, the flavours of savoury redcurrants, red berry fruit and plums are melded with herb and earthy elements, and gently fill the mouth. The fruit is backed by grainy tannin textures and soft acidity moderates the grip. The wine leads to a dry, lightly nuanced finish. This is a medium-bodied, savoury red berry-fruited Bordeaux red with grainy tannins and a dry finish. Serve with red meat dishes and semi-hard cheeses over the next 3-4+ years. 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec, fermented to 13.0% alc. From Entre Deux Mers. 16.0+/20 Jan 2016 RRP $21.90
