Ch. Hosanna Pomerol 2007

Merlot from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 08-Jun-2011
4.5 ha, 70% Me, 30% CF. Deepish ruby-red in colour, youthful in appearance, this has a crisp, refined nose of blackcurrants, cassis, pepper and mint, very pure and attractively aromatic. On palate, this is very elegant and lively with fresh dark berry fruit flavours, vibrant and with excellent tension. Cool, leafy elements show, as elegance rather than as a sign of unripeness. The tannins are finely expressed, and along with bright acidity contribute to a sustained finish. A wine of finesse and cool elegance and beauty, reminiscent of the Medoc rather than Pomerol! 5-7+ years.  Jun 2011
