Ch. Haura Graves 2010

Cabernet Sauvignon from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 03-Dec-2012
Prof. Denis Dubourdieu has a 25 year lease on the property, taken in 2002. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. 13.5% alc. Dark, deep, purple-hued ruby-red colour. The bouquet is elegant in proportion with intensely packed aromas of ripe dark berry fruits intermixed with plums and prominent spicy, toasty oak. There are fragrant and lifted notes and toasty, char aromas that feature together. Medium-bodied, the flavours of ripe dark berry and plum fruits and spicy, cedary oak are framed by fine, but firm tannins. There is good power and drive, with good acid freshness through the palate line, and the wine is carried through to a moderately firm finish with the oak becoming more integral. This is a modern and international Bordeaux-styled wine with strong oaking and a fine, but firm palate. Match with grilled beef or venison, and hard cheeses over the next 8-10 years. 17.5+/20 Dec 2012 RRP $29.95
