Ch. Gazin Pomerol 2008

Merlot from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 29-Sep-2011
24 ha, 90% Me, 3% CF, 7% CS Dense, near impenetrable black-red in colour, this has a huge, voluminous and intense nose of ripe plummy red fruits, tobacco, fruit-cake and earth and powerful, spicy, high-char, toasty oak. A full, broad and open wine, this is soft and fat with plump, dark plum flavours complexed with fruit-cake and earth alongside considerable oak toastiness. There is excellent depth and concentration still, and the wine is underscored by very fine, dry tannins. A modern and international styled wine, extremely ample and fleshy with density and the ability to age 10-12+ years. 18.5+/20 Sep 2011 RRP $185.00
