Ch. d’Yquem Sauternes 2009

Sweet Wine from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 18-Mar-2016
This has a deep, light golden colour. The nose is full and voluminous, showing ripe tropical fruit, opulent marmalade and honey, a little nutty and caramel complexity, and is very accessible now. On palate very rich, luscious, succulent and decidedly opulent. This has richness and power, with bold tropical and citrus fruit matched by considerable marmalade, honey, musk and caramel botrytis. Seamless and mouthfilling with sweetness and flavour, unfolding layers as it opens fully on palate. The wine carries to a stupendously long finish. This is coming into its own now. 19.5/20 Mar 2016 RRP $N/A
