Ch. d’Yquem Sauternes 2000

Sweet Wine from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 18-Mar-2016
This is dark golden-yellow in colour with orange hues. Full, broad and up-front, the nose is showing ripe and savoury citrus and tropical fruits with dark orange marmalade, wild honey and caramel elements. Oxidative suggestions are present. On palate very full, luscious and plush, with soft, ripe tropical fruits melded with dark orange marmalade and savoury honey. This is decadent, but tempered by good cut from the alcohol and acidity, in conjunction with some phenolic grip. Still fulsome and dense at the core, carrying to a drier finish. This is a fulsome, deep and forward wine, requiring drinking now. 18.0-/20 Mar 2016 RRP $N/A
