Ch. d’Yquem Sauternes 1993

Sweet Wine from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 18-Mar-2016
Full, bright, light golden yellow in colour. The nose was still tight and compact, yet to evolve, but some TCA cork-taint mustiness was present, with noticeable VA lift as well. Distinctly honied on palate, this had moderate richness, with some apricotty botrytis and hints of barley sugar with a firmish, slightly hard mouthfeel. The TCA was noticeable, but in essence not overly obvious in mustiness. Nevertheless it would have reduced the expression of fruit.  16.5/20 Aug 2010
