Ch. de Lugagnac Bordeaux Superieur 2009

Merlot from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 20-Jun-2012
This is a 150 ha property with 50 ha of old vines. 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark ruby-red colour with purple hues. The nose is aromatic with lifted red fruits, spices and herbs, a little sappiness showing. Medium-bodied, this is elegantly proportioned with aromatic red floral and dark berry fruit flavours. The fruit sweetness and acidity combine to provide a slipperiness to the mouthfeel, but balanced by moderate tannin extraction, resulting in a firm drying finish. Reasonably fine-grained. 3-4+ years. 16.0+/20 Jun 2012 RRP $22.50
