Ch. d’Aiguilhe Cotes de Castillon 2003

Merlot from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 31-Dec-2014
80% Me, 20% CF, 14.0% alc. Approx. 9,500 cases made. Full, deep, black-red colour with some garnet on edge. This has an aromatic, fragrant nose of dark berry fruits, slight curranty notes and freshness, along with ripe plums, the nose with elegance and good depth. Elegantly sized, and with good concentration, this is tight and firm through the palate, balanced between finely extracted and being grippy. Curranty fruit with dried herbs evident. Still with good freshness and acidity, and carrying through to a sweet finish. Drinking well now, but this will hold 5-6+ years. 17.5+/20 Nov 2014
