Ch. Cap Saint Martin Cotes de Blaye 2009

Merlot from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 25-Nov-2011
90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from a 10 ha site, the wine aged 18 months in 20% new oak. Dark ruby-red colour with good depth, the nose is tightly bound with aromas of savoury dark fruits with notes of earth, graphite and minerals. Crisply firm on palate, the tannin extraction is a feature, framing bright, lively red berry fruit flavours with a sweetness and good ripeness. Spices and florals add a juicy interest. This should keep 5-6 years. 16.5+/20 Nov 2011  RRP $19.95
