Ch. Branaire Ducru St Julien 2010

Cabernet Sauvignon from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 16-Sep-2013
4eme, 50 ha, 70% CS, 22% Me, 5% CF, 3% PV. Very dark, saturated black-purple colour. The aromatics are tight and slightly restrained, showing very ripe blackcurrant, blackberry and subtle boysenberry fruits, lifted with floral elements and a little toasty oak. Medium-full bodied, rich, lush and sweet flavours of very ripe black fruits and boysenberry notes show with lovely succulence. The fruit is underlined by very fine and firm, tightly bound tannins. The acidity is in balance, and totally integral, with the palate in real balance and offering accessibility. The acidity emerges on the back palate and carries plum and boysenberry fruit flavours on the long, lingering finish. This is sweetly lush, accessible Branaire Ducru with slightly over-ripe fruit flavours showing. It will develop over the next 15+ years. 18.5/20 Sep 2013 RRP $232.00
