Ch. Belair St Emilion 2007

Merlot from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 08-Jun-2011
1er GC, 12.5 ha, 80% Me, 20% CF, dark ruby-red in colour with garnet on edge, this has a soft, full and plump nose of red plums, earth, tobacco and dried herbs. Quite accessible with a lush sweetness, the flavours of savoury, brambly, tobacco and fruit-cake show moderate ripeness, but form a good core to the palate. Tannins are rounded and the acidity lowish, this is quite approachable now, and has some secondary interest appearing. Drink over the next 5-6 years.  Jun 2011
