Ch. Arnauton Fronsac 2009

Merlot from France - Bordeaux
Review Date : 25-Nov-2011
98% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc from 30 y.o. vines from a 25 ha hillside site. Dark, purple-hued ruby-red in colour, this has a densely concentrated bouquet of fully-ripened black berry and dark plum fruit. Medium-full bodied, the palate is packed with ripe dark fruits lifted with violet aromatics, black spices and integrated and balanced oaking. The tannins are very fine grained and the textures provide a refined drive and length. The wine has excellent proportion and is set to age with elegance over the next 7-9 years. 18.5-/20 Nov 2011  RRP $29.95
