Ceres ‘Composition’ Central Otago Riesling 2013

Riesling from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 26-Jan-2014
Bright, very pale straw colour, near colourless. This has a very delicate, poised nose of fresh white florals and subtle lime and lemon notes and nuances of honeysuckle and minerals. Off-dry to taste and medium-light bodied, the palate features delicately nuances fruit flavours of florals and citrus intermingling with mineral and honied elements. The mouthfeel is based on refined phenolic textures providing a seamless flow and beautifully integrated, lacy acidity. There is excellent tension along the line, leading to a gentle and soft finish revealing more sweetness. This is a delicately floral and honey flavoured, finely balanced, off-dry Riesling. Serve as an aperitif and with delicate seafoods over the next 4-5 years. Bannockburn fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.7% alc. and 10 g/L RS. 18.0/20 Jan 2014 RRP $24.00
