Ceres ‘Composition’ Central Otago Pinot Noir 2006

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 11-Feb-2011
Deep ruby-red colour with a good heart, this has a firm, intense and linear nose of dark berry fruits and florals, complexed by savoury herb and cedar-spice oak notes. At 14.5% alc., this has a concentrated core of savoury dark fruit, mushroom, herb and earth flavours displaying some secondary development interest. The palate is firmly structured and has good grip throughout its length. There is good acidity for freshness, though the wine has a drying finish. This robust wine is now showing good development. Serve with aged game meat over the next 4-5 years. Made by Matt Dicey. 17.0-/20 Feb 2011 RRP $35.00
