Caythorpe Rosé 2020, Marlborough

Rosé from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Oct-2020
Bright, pale salmon-pink, even colour throughout. The bouquet is softly well-packed with cantaloupe melon, watermelon and tamarillo; along with florals and mouthwatering confectionary. Medium-light bodied, concentrated aromas of cantaloupe melon, watermelon and tamarillo are bright, flows along with red florals and white pepper on the finish. The wine is amiable with well-packed ripe fruit, immediately attractive with a soft entry. A fine-textured line carries the aromas on a smooth-flowing drive, lifted white pepper linger on the finish. Serve as an aperitif and charcuterie over the next 2-3 years. Blend of 90% Pinot Noir, 9% Pinot Gris and 1% Riesling. Fermented in stainless steel to 13% alc, 4 g/l RS. Left on lees for 2 months. 17.5-/20 pts Oct 2020 RRP $20
