Caythorpe Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 27-Sep-2018
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues. The nose is elegantly proportioned with fresh and intense, finely concentrated aromas of pungent passionfruit and tropical fruit with fresh herbs and white florals, unfolding hints of minerals from the core. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a fresh, softly concentrated and elegantly packed heart of pungent passionfruit, tropical fruits, subtle notes of fresh herbs with white floral nuances. The palate is soft-textured and smooth flowing, with gentle, lacy acidity providing background energy and cut. This has good linearity and the wine carries to an elegant, soft, but lingering finish. This is an elegantly presented Sauvignon Blanc with gently concentrated flavours of passionfruit and tropical fruit on a smooth-flowing palate with good energy and cut. Serve with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Caythorpe’ vineyard, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 2.4 g/L RS. 18.0-/20 Sep 2018 RRP $19.95 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
