Caythorpe Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 10-Oct-2017
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless. The nose is fresh and full with softly concentrated aromas of pungent passionfruit along with fresh herbs, snow peas, cut grass and mineral elements. This has finesse and elegant intensity. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has softly concentrated and deep flavours of passionfruit melded with fresh herbs, snow peas and cut grass. The palate has soft and fine phenolic textures with gentle, lacy acidity providing a balanced mouthfeel and fresh liveliness. The wine flows positively to a light, dry finish of passionfruit and herbs. This is a softly concentrated Sauvignon Blanc with pungent passionfruit flavours along with herbs, snow peas and cut grass on a gently-textured, fresh palate. Serve with salads and vegetables, and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Caythorpe’ vineyard, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 2.2 g/L RS. 18.0-/20 Oct 2017 RRP $19.95 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
