Bright, even, pale yellow with a slightly green hue. The nose is full, shows complexity and good energy, aromas of warm spice melded with light cream, freshly cut grass and ripe yellow fruit. Medium-full bodied, pineapple, Meyer lemon have a vibrant core, green herb and white spice entwined barrel-fermentation complexity, unfolding almond, butter pastry nuances. The mouthfeel is textural, made of fine-textured phenolics, lending an elegant finish with richness and warmth. This barrel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc with a refined palate shows varietal, juicy acidity, and purity of fruit. Match with grilled halloumi and caramelised onion & goat's cheese-tart over the next 5 years. Fruit from Cairnmuir Terraces, handpicked, wild fermented entirely in barrel, aged 7 months in old barrels. 14.5% alc. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Feb 2022 RRP $28
