Clear, even, pale yellow with depth and a light green hue. The nose is softly full, with elegant aromas of stonefruit and citrus melded with roasted cashew, vanilla and spice. Medium-full bodied, peach, nectarine and pink grapefruit entwined with citrus zest, vanilla, cashew and cream. The flavours are harmonious with a kick of the new oak influence, showing spice and fine-textured phenolics. Barrel elements enriched the vibrant fruit purity, supported by lively acid precision, persisting an elegant, structured finish. This elegant Chardonnay possesses stonefruit and grapefruit aromas with harmonious oak element injection on a fine-textured palate. Match with banana prawns and turbot over the next 5-7 years. Fruit from two vineyards parcels, clone 6 and Mendoza, whole bunch pressed, fermented in barrel to 14% alc, extended barrel maturation for 19 months, 8% new oak. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) July 2022 RRP $47
