Cantina Valpantena ‘Torre del Falasco’ Bardolino DOC 2012

Other Red from Italy - Veneto
Review Date : 12-Dec-2013
Full, dark, deep ruby-red colour with some purple hues. This has a fresh lifted aromatic nose with elegantly concentrated primary aromas of cherries and raspberries, with attractive whole berry fermentation confectionary notes. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, sweet and succulent cherry, raspberry and lollyish flavours are enlivened by lively, racy acidity. A finely extracted tannin core provides structure and linearity for the flavours and good vinous presence and supple mouthfeel. The flavours lead to a dry finish with good length and sweet fruit notes. This is a bright fruited, youthful Bardolino with light, supple tannins. Serve with antipasto, pizza and barbecued food over the next 2-3 years. Corvina and Rondinella fruit from Bardolino, fermented to 12.5% alc. 16.5/20 Dec 2013 RRP $17.99
