Campos de Viento La Mancha Tempranillo 2013

Tempranillo from Spain
Review Date : 16-Sep-2014
Dark, deep, purple-hued ruby-red colour, lighter on rim. The nose is soft and gently full with lifted aromas of ripe dark raspberry fruit, red liquorice and florals, the bouquet pretty, easy and uncomplicated. Medium-bodied, up-front sweet raspberry, red liquorice and redcurrant fruit flavours form a lively, juicy core with fresh, lacy acidity. Soft, light, drying tannins emerge to fill the palate, and envelope the fruit, carrying the wine to a dry, grainy, moderately sustained finish. This is a gently juicy Tempranillo with raspberry and floral fruit, encased by dry tannin extraction. Serve with antipasto, tapas, risotto and pasta dishes over the next 3 years. 100% Tempranillo from ‘Campos de Viento’, La Mancha, fermented to 13.0% alc. and bottled without oak aging. 16.5-/20 Sep 2014 RRP $13.99
