Calabria ‘Three Bridges’ Riverina Botrytis Semillon 2013

Sweet Wine from Australia - NSW
Review Date : 07-May-2015
Brilliant golden yellow colour with some depth, lighter on rim. The nose is soft, full and voluminous with deep aromas of ripe pineapples and tropical fruits, along with musky marmalade boytytis and lifted honied elements. This is has fruit opulence and very sensitive oak input. Very sweet to taste and medium-bodied, luscious and succulently ripe flavours of citrus and tropical fruits, pineapples and marmalade are layered with honey, lifted floral and musky notes. This has a near-unctuous mouthfeel and soft, restrained acidity, but a concentrated core and fine-textured phenolic line that carries the wine to a long, luscious, subtly-textured finish with tropical fruit and marmalade notes. This is a lusciously rich, near-unctuous, botrytised Semillon with tropical fruit flavours and a fine-textured line. Match with fruit and baked desserts and creamy blue cheeses over the next 4+ years. Fruit from the Riverina fermented in barrel to 12.24% alc. and 140 g/L RS, the wine aged 11 months in 40% new Hungarian and French oak. (375 ml) 18.0+/20 May 2015 RRP $19.50
