Cable Bay ‘Marlborough Selection’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 22-Aug-2013
Brilliant, pale straw-yellow colour with light green hues, pale on rim. The nose is fresh with moderately full aromas of tropical fruits and gooseberries, along with fresh herbs, limes, and some youthful fermentation esters lift. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, this is slender in presentation with light tropical fruit flavours carried by some phenolic textures forming the palate line. The mouthfeel is soft and dry, with fresh underlying acidity providing liveliness and brightness to the fruit. The flavours carry though to a light, restrained finish. This is a fresh, light Sauvignon Blanc with tropical fruit flavours and a soft, dry palate. Serve with seafood, poultry and most first courses over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Wairau Valley, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 2.8 g/L RS. 16.5/20 Aug 2013 RRP $17.50
