Butterworth Te Muna Sauvignon Blanc 2021, Martinborough

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 23-Nov-2022
Bright, even, pale straw-yellow. The nose is soft and coy, with enveloping aromas of orchard fruit, citrus intermixed wildflower, subtle flint and spice. Medium-full bodied, aromas of yellow apple, lemon, grapefruit and peels unfolding mango and guava, wildflower, spice and a slight creaminess. Well-proportioned creaminess contributes to a smooth flow with delicate phenolics; lively acidity enlivens the palate and carries to linearity. This is a thoughtful Sauvignon Blanc with lush fruit, complexity and appealing texture. Match with salted cod and white meat over the next 5 years. Fermented and matured in French oak, 12.5% alc. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Nov 2022 RRP $30
