Bushmere Estate Amelia Sparkling Rosé 2019, Gisborne

Rosé from New Zealand - Gisborn
Review Date : 16-Jun-2020
Bright, light strawberry-pink with some depth, the bubbles are moderately fine and persistent. The bouquet is fresh and inviting, displaying aromas of field strawberries, citrus, rose petals and a subtle creamy underlay. Medium-light bodied, dry to taste, the palate is fresh with freshly picked strawberries, lemon; entwined with roses and black pepper. The mouthfeel is lightly creamed, buoyant acidity balanced with the right amount of sweetness. This is a straightforward, vibrant sparkling rosé with the fragrance of fresh strawberries, citrus and roses and lightly creamy detail. Serve as an aperitif over the next 2-3 years. Handpicked, 62% Montepulciano, 38% Sangiovese. 11.55% alc, 7 g/l RS. 17.5/20 pts June 2020 RRP $25
