Burnt Spur Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 18-Dec-2012
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on edge. The nose is softly voluminous with fresh aromas of passionfruit and blackcurrant leaf, along with lime notes that build to show good intensity and depth. Dry and fullish-bodied, the flavours of passionfruit and gooseberries are slightly restrained. The palate is weighty, with fresh, balanced acidity and a harmonious drive. The mouthfeel is soft and generous with some sweetness to the limey flavours that carry through to a moderately sustained finish. This is a soft, well-weighted Sauvignon Blanc with freshness and gently sweet fruitiness. Serve with antipasto, poultry and goats' cheese over the next 2 years. Hand-picked fruit cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 4 g/L rs. 17.5-/20 Dec 2012 RRP $20.00
