Buenas Ondas San Juan Petit Verdot 2007

Other Red from Argentina
Review Date : 13-Jun-2011
Part of the Fabril Alto Verde estate run by the Nale family, the vineyards and winery having full organic certification. The Petit Verdot Bordeaux varietal fruit is from the San Juan province, and fermented to 14.5% alc. Very dark ruby-red colour, youthful in appearance. This has a very bright, ripe nose, fruity and fresh, of boysenberries and blackcurrant liqueur. On palate, this shows sweet, lush primary fruit flavours of boysenberries and cassis along with some spirit alcohol. The tannins are soft and fresh, lively acidity provides tension and zestiness. Serve this up-front, fruity wine with game dishes over the next 2-4 years. 16.5+/20 Jun 2011  RRP $20.99
