Light ruby-red colour with some purple hues. This has a bright, aromatic. Lifted nose of raspberries, cherries and red berry fruits with a touch of jam, underlined by fresh herbs. Dry to taste, this is medium-bodied but light and lively with lifted raspberry and cherry bon-bon flavours along with spice notes and herbs, underscored by soft acidity and very modest, supple tannins. The fruit forms the core of this soft and juicy wine, the palate showing good length and lift. Fruit from Victoria, with 8.7% undergoing carbonic maceration. The finished wine carries 13.0% alc. Serve with antipasto, pasta and poultry over the next 18 months to 2 years. Think of a cross between serious rosé and good Beaujolais. 16.5/20 Oct 2011 RRP $15.95
