Brown Brothers Victoria Moscato 2014

Muscat from Australia - Victoria
Review Date : 07-Jan-2015
Bright, even straw-yellow colour with light lemon hues. The nose is light and subdued, with delicate musk and grapey notes with a fresh floral lift. This is clean and nuanced, opening up with aeration. Medium in sweetness and light-bodied, the flavours of musk and florals are clean and pure with very light, but good varietal expression. The sweetness carries the palate, and the wine flows smoothly, with soft acidity contributing to the rounded mouthfeel. The flavours blossom through the mid-palate leading to an aromatic, musky, grapey finish. This is a soft, smooth, light-bodied, medium sweet, grapey and musky Muscat. Serve as an anytime wine and with Asian fatre over the next 12-18 months. Muscat of Alexandria fruit from Northern Victoria, fermented to 5.0% alc., TA 5.7 g/L and pH 3.2, bottles with retained CO2. Winemaker: Cate Looney. 16.5/20 Jan 2015 RRP $17.99
